DESCRIPTION:Electrify – Renew – Revitalise Community \nGeri Energy invites you to an online webinar Tuesday 7 December 2021 at 6.45pm for 7pm until 8.45pm to discuss how the key to fighting climate change and driving down demand for coal and gas is to electrify everything\, power it all by renewables\, and use this transition to create new jobs and grow rural communities.  \nThis event will explore how this can be achieved at a household\, farm\, business and community level and give us real practical steps that we can take today\, to move towards a more sustainable future. \nFeaturing some of Australia’s leading experts\, this formidable evening includes: \n\nSimon Holmes à Court  – founder of Australia’s first community owned wind farm and a leading expert in renewable energy\nTim Forcey – expert in electrifying your home and business\nMatt Charles-Jones – community energy expert from Yakandandah Vic \nKarra Kinchella – Gomeroi Traditional Owner from Narrabri NSW\nSally Hunter – Director of Geni.Energy from Narrabri NSW\nTrent Hawkins – Consultant researching decarbonising NSW\nKarin Stark – expert in farm based renewables from Narromine NSW \n\nWe know that this electrifying line up will get you recharged and excited to make change in your home\, community or business in the shift towards renewables! \nOver 3 million Australian homes now have solar\, showing that Aussies everywhere are taking back their power and making great strides to bring down our emissions.   \nDespite this\, many fossil fuel companies supported by our governments continue to dig\, drill and burn dangerous fossil fuels. We need to pave the way to a clean energy economy to sustainably power our lives. \nWHEN: Tues 7 December\, 6:45 pm for a 7 pm – 8:45 pm event (NSW Time) \nWHERE: Online on Zoom OR if fully vaccinated (and the floodwaters have receded!) in person at Geni.Energy office – 129 Maitland St Narrabri \nBe sure to book your spot today! \n
