Heat and smoke haven: Southern Life Church

 2837 Princes Highway, Moruya

Check to see if it is open during an extreme weather event by contacting:

  • Julie Brown, 0417 457 388, Julie@southernlife.org.au or
  • Sue Wilson, 0468 785 228, sue.wilson@y7mail.com

The haven is open to church members, pantry members and others who are vulnerable to heat stress in a severe heatwave, or are in need of shelter and accommodation during bushfire emergencies and severe storms with power outages.

As a haven, the church can provide shelter for up to 200 people during the day, and between 100 to 150 for those needing overnight accommodation. However, the church currently does not have any campbeds so people would need to bring their own sleeping bags and air mattresses.
