Thanks so much. The petition has now closed.
SHASA have teamed up with Micro Energy Systems Australia (MESA) in an exciting partnership with the Australian National University and Essential Energy and applied for federal funding for a feasibility study into microgrids across the Eurobodalla.
We want to make a better electricity future for the Eurobodalla so this feasibility study is so important to detail how we can get there. The end result of the feasibility study will include an implementation plan that we can then use to source funding to make it happen! Applications closed at 5pm on Wednesday 27 January. Thanks for your signatures and comments to demonstrate your support for the application. The application has now been submitted to Regional and Remote Communities Reliability Fund-Microgrids 2020/21. We should hear the results of our application in about 2 months. Stay tuned.
What is a Microgrid? It is a small network of electricity users with a local source of supply that is usually attached to a centralized national grid but is able to function independently.
