The Voice to Parliament

April 13, 2023

The Voice to Parliament

In 1967 we were counted, in 2017 we seek to be heard. We leave base camp and start our trek across this vast country. We invite you to walk with us in a movement of the Australian people for a better future.

Uluru Statement from the Heart, May 2017

The SHASA Committee have unanimously agreed to support the YES campaign for the Voice to Parliament. We will do this by working with and supporting existing groups that are working on the YES campaign. We recognise that whether one chooses to vote yes or no, it is an individual decision and we encourage respectful conversations that can help us unite as a nation.

If you are interested in knowing more about the Referendum for an Indigenous Voice to parliament and specifically the YES case we recommend visiting the Together YES website. Better still why not get involved by running a kitchen table conversation. For more details contact Steve Colman (steve@globallearning.com.au)

Together, Yes is a movement in support of a YES vote in the 2023 referendum on a First Nations Voice to parliament. It’s a powerful way you can participate in the upcoming referendum to enshrine an Indigenous Voice in our constitution.
